I’m late to the post…LOVE THIS VIDEO because you were being your authentic self. Will look at other videos for current nursing life updates. But…Over all, that place sounded like it was super toxic and gaslighting…not that you said anything like that or even made the unit sound bad. But watching you go through all the emotions (that so many new nurses go through, who then end up staying because they are gaslit and dont have to the confidence or comparison to realize that, while difficult, nursing should not be that traumatizing), was crazy to watch. On top of it you were a night nurse, which is so hard to explain how draining that really is. Anyway, thank you for posting tbis video and glad that it’s still getting on the algorithm almost a year later.

I was trying to get into school nursing but hearing your list of “illnesses” from the kids I think I might not have the patience required, lol. Since you’re a school nurse what do you think of an older nurse working in this area? I’ve had some pediatric & Nicu experience, but I will say this I’ve recently lost a 10 week contract school nurse job I applied for & applied for a fall position in a different school district but same town & was told I would be contacted for an interview in May for the job in the fall but so far I’ve not heard anything. Do you think they’re trying to tell me something? Haha maybe I guess.

Really love that you realized your truth in your previous nursing job and made the hard decision to switch things up. Thats such a hard thing to do. I recently did the same and left my full time career of graphic design for 10 years. I love animals and realized I needed to pursue that in my life to be fulfilled and live a vital life. I am working on building my own business now 😊

A hospital is a battleground with invisible bullets killing people. The pressure is on, orders given left and right. Not for everyone but there is nursing jobs in private clinics away from all that. You have a big caring heart and need to be a nurse somewhere but don't rush it.
